Application guide 2026

Use this guide to prepare in advance the required materials for your Beta Awards application. The application must be completed in a single session, so it will be helpful to have everything ready beforehand. We also recommend that you carefully read the competition rules.

To complete your application more quickly and easily, we recommend preparing the required information and materials in advance. Review the requirements of the category or categories you wish to apply to and make sure you have all the necessary documents and images ready before you begin filling out the application form.

Selected projects from all categories, except for Text and Photography, will be exhibited in the form of exhibition panels.

If your project is selected following the first stage of the jury process, we will print the exhibition panel on a rigid A0-format board (841 × 1189 mm).

To simplify the application process, the project's textual information (title, authors, descriptions, etc.) will be generated automatically based on the data provided in the application form. You only need to prepare the image area of the panel, using the provided layout.

After completing the layout in your preferred software, export it as a single image in .jpeg, .jpg, or .png format, and keep it ready for upload to the online application.

The exported image must match the exact dimensions of the layout, have a resolution between 150 and 300 dpi, and a maximum file size of 20 MB.

If you encounter any difficulties, you can contact us at awards@betacity.eu, and we will be happy to help.

For the Text category, please refer to the File preparation for the Text category section, which you can find further down this page.

The exhibition panel layout has been created to standardize presentations and ensure a unified experience within the Beta Awards exhibition. The layout also ensures that all projects have an equal opportunity for visual impact during the jury evaluation.

It is important to follow the competition layout:

✅ Follow exactly the designated areas for images or image compositions.
✅ Follow the instructions provided within these areas.
✅ Prepare your compositions according to the examples included in the layout packages.

It is important not to improvise outside the layout:

❌ Do not place a single large image across the entire panel.
❌ Do not use the main image area for image compositions.
❌ Do not modify the number or placement of image areas.
❌ Do not move or remove the Beta logo.

For the Text category, please refer to the File preparation for the Text category section, which can be found further down this page.

For presenting your project on the Beta website, you will need to prepare between 3 and 10 images. We encourage you to include both atmospheric photos and drawings such as sections or plans. Images can be either landscape or portrait, but we recommend using predominantly landscape format.

For the Text category, only a single image is required, representing the project cover.

We encourage the use of large images to ensure high quality on HD/retina screens, but please pay attention to file size. Each image must not exceed 1.5 MB.

If you encounter any difficulties, you can contact us at awards@betacity.eu, and we will be happy to help.

For the Text category, please download the following layout:
