Ambra Fabi is an architect, educator, and co-founder, together with Giovanni Piovene, of Piovenefabi, an architecture studio based in Milan and Brussels. She teaches architecture at ENSA Paris-Est.
Piovenefabi works across architecture, urban research, territorial visions, and public design, engaging with projects of varying scales, programs, and clients. The studio approaches architecture as a shared cultural framework in which spaces and objects can support both individual and collective experiences.
In 2019, Piovenefabi was part of the curatorial team of the Lisbon Architecture Triennial The Poetics of Reason, contributing the exhibition What Is Ornament?, which explored the contemporary role of ornament in architectural production.
The studio's work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Mayrit Bienal (2021), Lisbon Architecture Triennial (2016, 2019), Rotterdam Biennale (2014), Chicago Architecture Biennial (2015, 2017), Campo (2016), FRAC Orléans (2017), and Maniera Brussels (2018).
Among its recognized projects, 5 Pavilions for 5 Parks received the Visit Brussels Award in 2018 and was shortlisted for the T-Young Claudio De Albertis Prize, the Medaglia d'Oro all'Architettura Italiana (2018), and the Brussels Architecture Prize (2021).
