In the Built Space category, we aim to celebrate and recognize outstanding residential and non-residential projects, along with their authors. The category, like the entire competition, is open to the DKMT Euroregion, which includes the Western Region of Romania as well as regions in Hungary and Serbia, and evaluates projects completed and accepted between July 2024 and July 2026. We seek to highlight projects and the ability of professionals to simultaneously address sustainability, social, cultural, economic, urban planning, and identity-related requirements.
This category brings together projects that not only meet users' functional needs, but also make a significant contribution to the social, cultural, and urban landscape of the environments in which they are located. The category is intended for architects who shape both private spaces—individual or collective housing—as well as public, semi-public, or semi-private buildings intended for the community or a large number of users, through newly built architecture or interventions on existing buildings.
