In the Public Space category, we aim to celebrate and recognize outstanding urban design projects and urban studies, together with their creators. The category, like the competition as a whole, is open across the DKMT Euroregion, which includes the Western Region of Romania, as well as regions in Hungary and Serbia, and evaluates projects submitted during the period July 2024 – July 2026 (urban studies must be completed or in the process of being implemented/approved during this period).
This category brings together projects that not only meet the functional needs of users, but also make a significant contribution to shaping the way we use and experience public space, both in urban and rural environments.
The projects promoted in this category aim to highlight the ability of professionals to simultaneously address requirements related to sustainability, social, cultural, economic, urban planning, and identity aspects.
The Public Space category will be divided into two subcategories.
