Arhibazic SRL is an architecture practice based in Timișoara, Romania, dedicated to designing coherent, functional spaces that respond thoughtfully to their specific context. Our work encompasses a diverse range of projects, from individual homes and residential developments to infrastructure and urban planning projects.
In residential design, we place particular emphasis on the relationship between functionality, architectural expression, and the quality of space, seeking solutions that respond both to the needs of our clients and to the particular character of each site. At the same time, our experience in infrastructure projects, particularly bridges and overpasses, allows us to approach architecture at a broader scale, in direct relation to mobility, landscape, and the structure of the city.
Through our urban planning projects, we aim to integrate new developments coherently within the existing urban fabric and to establish balanced relationships between buildings, public space, and infrastructure. We believe that every project is an exercise in understanding its context and finding clear, durable, and relevant solutions.
Arhibazic seeks to contribute through each project to a better-articulated built environment, where architecture, infrastructure, and urban planning come together as part of a coherent and unified vision.

" The Lovers footbridge " is a pedestrian infrastructure project proposed on the site of an existing footbridge in Timișoara, crossing the navigable Bega Canal. The new intervention responds to the need to replace the existing structure and aims to introduce a contemporary pedestrian crossing, adapted both to the urban context and to the specific character of the Bega riverbanks.
One of the main constraints of the project is the navigability of the canal. Compliance with the clearance requirements for navigation determined the crossing elevation and, consequently, the configuration of the access ramps and the overall geometry of the footbridge. Thus, the architectural form emerges from the intersection of functional and technical requirements with the intention of creating a contemporary, coherent, and easily recognizable intervention within the urban landscape.
The proposed materials , brushed concrete and metal finished in very light tones , contribute to the intervention’s calm and luminous character, while facilitating its integration into the natural and built context of the Bega.
The name " The Lovers footbridge " draws upon and continues the memory of the place. Over time, the existing footbridge has become an informal landmark of the city, its railings covered with padlocks placed by couples as symbols of love and connection between people. The new project embraces this emotional significance, proposing not only a new pedestrian connection across the Bega, but also the continuation of a story already rooted in the collective memory of the place.
