Text presentation of the author in English

Architecture is, without any doubt, linked to photography, and my passion for the latter has gradually grown, becoming a common means of capturing the unusual and various places discovered through many journeys. Active in both professional practice and education, the built space is a major subject of my own photographs, through its variety and quality. Any trip – shorter (a scientific conference, a trade fair, a sports competition) or longer (a winter or summer vacation, a student traineeship, a world exhibition) – to a new location represents for me an opportunity to encounter architecture from other areas or cultures, immortalizing both constructive innovations and traditional techniques.

Project description in English.

A double spiral staircase at the heart of Helsinki’s Oodi Central Library is a work of art, decorated on the interior parapet with countless words ending in “-ille”, trying to answer in Finnish the question: “Who is the library for?” In fact, the entire building enjoys increasing popularity, being more of a gathering place for many people, who come simply to read, record or practice music, print on various media, play, even rest (https://oodihelsinki.fi/en/what-is-oodi/).
