Architecture is, without any doubt, linked to photography, and my passion for the latter has gradually grown, becoming a common means of capturing the unusual and various places discovered through many journeys. Active in both professional practice and education, the built space is a major subject of my own photographs, through its variety and quality. Any trip – shorter (a scientific conference, a trade fair, a sports competition) or longer (a winter or summer vacation, a student traineeship, a world exhibition) – to a new location represents for me an opportunity to encounter architecture from other areas or cultures, immortalizing both constructive innovations and traditional techniques.

Considering the uneven terrain of Naples, the metro line was developed at great depth in some areas, which led to the accommodation of elevation differences with many stairs and steps. The use of metallic, reflective finishes created a repetitive, infinite scenography, amplifying an otherwise limited and dark space.
