Avart Dearch is an architecture studio founded and led by architect Andreea Andresoiu, where every project begins with people and with the way they live, meet, and experience a space. An important part of our practice is dedicated to HoReCa spaces – restaurants, cafés, and places designed around the idea of bringing people together. We are fascinated by these spaces because they are alive: they constantly evolve and develop their identity through the people who inhabit them. We believe that a restaurant or a café is not simply about creating a beautiful image, but about shaping an atmosphere, a feeling, and, ultimately, a memory. For us, functionality is the starting point of every project. Before form comes the question: how will this place work? We carefully observe the way people move through a space, the gestures and routines of the staff, the rhythm of a kitchen, the light, the materials, and the small moments that together shape the experience of a place. The simplicity that defines our work comes from the desire to preserve only what is necessary, meaningful, and authentic.

BREWNO Coffee starts from the idea of a coffee shop as a place for people to meet, rather than simply a place of consumption. An interior where coffee becomes a pretext to stay, work, talk, or simply spend time together. Above all, the design focuses on functionality and the natural use of space. The layout is organized around the bar, the active core of the coffee shop, around which circulation and different types of seating are arranged. Within a relatively compact space, we sought to create multiple ways of inhabiting it: a communal table, individual seating, small tables, and benches integrated into the furniture. In this way, the same coffee shop can naturally accommodate both someone who comes to work for a few hours and a group meeting over coffee. The material palette is reduced to a few essential elements. Wood, mineral surfaces, and neutral tones create a calm, tactile, and luminous interior. The wooden furniture brings warmth and a sense of intimacy, while the bar introduces a precise, almost technical counterpoint. Its finish is made of epoxy resin mixed with metal powder, creating a continuous, carefully controlled surface with a metallic appearance. The material emphasizes the monolithic character of the bar, turning it into a subtle focal point within the space. The rounded forms of the tables and central furniture pieces soften the geometry of the interior and encourage interaction between people. Natural light played an important role in the project. The large façade openings are kept unobstructed, with the furniture positioned in direct relationship to them. Throughout the day, light continuously transforms the atmosphere of the interior, casting shadows and highlighting the texture of the wood. In the evening, warm, focused lighting gives the coffee shop a more intimate character. We avoided unnecessary decorative gestures, allowing proportion, material, light, and people to shape the identity of the space. Discreetly displayed architecture and design objects complement this atmosphere without dominating it. BREWNO is conceived as a backdrop for everyday life: a simple, flexible, and familiar space that does not seek to impose a particular way of using it, but instead allows each person to find their own place within it.
